WHAT'S NEW?
BIOFOAM, BIOFOAM, BIOFOAM!!! It's finally happened; A new way to blow foam has been created by the people over at Homeblown (homeblownus.com). With their mixture of standard foam and soy, they created a blank which is over sixty percent biodegradable. This is a far cry from the zero percent of the old blanks.
Paradise Planks has begun to use Biofoam as of 2007. We made several samples and have had nothing but positive feedback. Those riding the Biofoam (including myself) could not tell there was a difference in the board. They performed the same as their less ecofriendly counterparts.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Paradise Planks donated several boards to various charities in 2007. These included Surfrider, Snowball Express, and Christ Presbyterian Preschool of HB.
We have already promised boards to several charities in 2008. Including the Santa Barbara Woody Club.
Other events are being looked at. If your organization has an event which you would like Paradise Planks to attend, please contact us for consideration.
